What's the best medium for a concert pianist to learn guitar? - best mediums

I am an advanced pianist with classical training who wants to start playing blues and rock on an electric guitar. I've tried to learn the acoustic guitar in the past but have had great difficulty getting my fingers, "Guitar Method". With the electric guitar was my final goal is the best way for me to start acoustic, or just plunge directly into electricity?

  1. probably not a correct answer. The sound is a bit harder to play well together is more difficult to turn and get the strings to hammer ons and pull off to explore. But this difficulty is to develop stregnthen fingers and her talent on the guitar. Electric is easier on the fingers and is able to play more fun because you can add effects like distortion and delay. You can practice both the same, but there are many things you can on an electric do not make any noise. But even here, an acoustic guitar can be much cheaper than buying an electric guitar, amplifiers, cables, tape and peadals. I would like to get only what you are always reachable. Most players at some point both of them. Do not worry, you do not make your fingers into guitar mode, reaching, after a little practice, play the chords, and these changes are second nature.

  2. I played the trumpet, then decided to take the guitar. I started with sound advice they have given me. I found that I did not like, so I switched to bass. Then a friend borrowed my electric guitar, and it was much easier than what was playing well, because if you are a little walk from the preceding note is still ringing, and so almost masks.

If I ever do to, I'd buy a guitar sound very cheap, to recover the ability to live a little bit about that, and then try to rent an electric guitar to see how he feels, rather than to dive with electricity . Electric guitars are much more expensive than acoustic, and they need more press, "and are therefore usually more expensive mistakes.
